Villa overview

Villa Michelangelo is surrounded a lush and exotic Mediterranean garden complete olive and lemon groves. Beautifully restored paying particular attention to the original and traditional Sicilian features the outcome is a property that gleams with an aristocratic elegance. The refined interior consists of selected antique pieces carefully mixed with more contemporary modern elements that creates a stylish and comfortable living environment.

On the ground floor the living area includes a spacious living room, a study, a dining room, a well equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bath tub. The bedrooms are located on the first floor and consist of two doubles with ensuite bathrooms with tub, one twin with a shower ensuite bathroom and one single bedroom. There is also another bathroom with tub. A staircase from a small living area on the first floor leads up to an additional bedroom with a French bed (120cm). Outside there is a good sized pool (14m x 7m) furnished with sun loungers for soaking up the splendid sun.

This charming property is ideal for families or groups of friends in search for a relaxing holiday but also with the possibility to visiting some of Sicily\'s most charming locations. The towns of Erice, Marsala and Trapani (with crossing to the Egadi Islands) are all within a short drive away, as are the ancient salt plains with their characteristic windmills, the islands of Mozia, the beaches of Marsala and San Vito Lo Capo, the Zingaro and the Stagnone nature reserves and the temples of Segesta and Selinunte.

The area

Located close to Trapani, a charming town in the west of Sicily that attracts visitors to its lively old centre with its narrow streets and alleys, squares, baroque buildings, cafes and good restaurants. The medieval village of Erice is also very close by, take the cable car to the top of the mountain or drive up the winding roads and explore this beautiful old treasure. Other places to visit include the ancient temples of Segesta, or the route to Marsala which passes the renowned salt plains and their windmills and a fabulous endless stretch of vineyards, that produce the sweet Marsala wine. You could also consider visiting the beautiful and natural Egadi Islands with boats departing daily from Trapani port.
