This typical Aeolian Villa is owned by two Italian designers so of course is very well furnished. The view from the large terrace is fantastic, and dining around the lovely alfresco dining suite is a must. Each room has a door leading to the terrace. From the main living area there is a staircase taking you to a private roof terrace, here the white stone walls with one of the best sea views make a unique setting, great for those keen on soaking up the sun. There are two double bedrooms, the master bedroom has two bathrooms, his and hers! The second double bedroom also has a bathroom en suite. The kitchen is small but fully equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine. The property has the use of a pretty garden and orchard which is overlooked from the terrace.
Within a two minutes walk you'll find a good restaurant, "Mamma Santina" and a small grocery store, on hot summer days when you are too tired to carry it yourself, the store will deliver your groceries for you!The beach is just a few minutes walk from the property.
On Request: maid and cook, yacht and skipper, for a day out visiting the other Aeolian islands.
Unlike some of the other islands Salina has managed to maintain a calm atmosphere. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and small shops, some selling local crafts. The typical delicacies are the large capers and the locally produced Malvasia wine, that in fact comes from the vineyards of Capofara only a few minutes away from Villa Salina.
Due to the magnificent changing landscapes there are plenty of hiking trails and the natural park for you to visit. Diving is also a particularly popular excursion here as well as boat tours of the island.
Travelling to the island is easy, there is a ferryboat and hydrofoil service that connects Sicily with the islands. The service can also take you between the islands of Lipari, Vulcano, Stromboli, Salina, Alicudi and Filicudi. A helicopter service is also available between the islands.
