The property is situated 3-4 miles off the main road in the countryside close to Noto Antica the views surrounding the house are amazing, you can feel the history in the air.

Two double bedrooms, a living/dining room with a cosy fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, a bathroom with bath and showera separate laundry room with a sink and WC.

There are two small balconies at the rear of the property handy for relaxing on hot summer evenings.

The area

Situated only ten minutes from Noto, perhaps the most fascinating of the 18th century Baroque cities of Sicily. Not only listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO but also nicknamed the Capital of Baroque and home to the lovely ‘Infiorata’ flower festival held every May. The surrounding vineyards produce an exquisite dessert wine, ‘Moscato di Noto’.

The Vendicari nature reserve (20 minutes) is a gem for all nature lovers and offers spectacular long sandy beaches. Siracusa is only a 30 minute drive away and a visit to its ancient quarter ‘Ortigia’ and Greek ruins is a must. Also nearby is Cava Grande, a spectacular gorge and the deepest canyon in Europe: a series of rock pools, waterfalls and ancient cave-homes. The areas of Pachino ( famous for cherry tomatoes) and Potopalo are very interesting places to visit. It is here that you will find the southernmost point of Sicily the little ‘Isolotto delle correnti’, with a lighthouse and where sea turtles and pelicans can still be frequently spotted on the shore.
